Ever since I was little, we've had a potted amaryllis during the winter. I remember being in awe of how tall they grow before blossoming. It was also such a lovely pop of color in the midst of the cold winter.
When I planted this amaryllis 23 days ago, I never imagined it would be the bright, living contrast against the snowy world I now reside in.
Last week, we celebrated Tu B'shevat, the recognition that in Israel spring is beginning and the trees will soon produce flowers and fruits. Today, I celebrate my amaryllis and the promise that spring will eventually show up in Boston.ps. thank you ima for the amaryllis! It's saving my sanity!

And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Those are beautiful flowers, aren't they. I had one once.

So glad you're flying on the ONE DAY without a storm!!
