Once the snow was shoveled, we were able to start our second big social studies unit! We've moved onto the study of Native Americans and so far it's off to a great start. The kids have showed how much they've grown while we've had some discussions and read some stories about the Native Americans.

Also! Thank you to everyone who came and joined in the link up last week, we had 30 links!

Ha...that cereal!
ReplyDeleteI guess your kids will be happy today!
ReplyDeleteGo Pats!!!! Even so, would have to pass on the cereal (but what a cute expression). Enjoy your snow day and congrats on 30 participants.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but see the irony in the fact that today is groundhog day....Not only can I not see any shadows, I can't see across the street because of all this snow!
ReplyDeleteWell for me- living so close to Seattle but not being a fan- I couldn't be happier with the outcome. All our local stations dedicated ALL air time to the Seahawks for the last 2 weeks. Literally - I couldn't even get some weather - all the coverage was about the team. They are not gracious winners & even worse losers. It will be so nice to have some quiet from them now. Glad the Pats could help me out with that.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow day - have something warm & cozy!
Hugs
we do native americans in our school in 3rd grade too!
ReplyDeleteFunny cereal! My kids love learning about native Americans. Especially since they are a tiny bit NA. :) I didn't really care who won the Super Bowl but I was cheering for Seattle. Sorry. :) And we're having a snow day today here also. Ice is more the problem though. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteyes'm I am back! Fun to hear from you right out of the pocket. ♥
ReplyDeleteA nice way to represent the teams in the Super Bowl.
ReplyDeleteA(nother) snow day, huh? Well, I stayed at home, too, so that hubby can drive with the truck, but I'm working. All thanks to modern technology :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would ever buy a product just because it has a celeb on it - smh
Gronk flakes??!! I think not! Heading out to shovel. And maybe shoot a few more snowy shots if I can stay warm enough!
ReplyDeleteSports does not take a big place in my life, so I was happily taking care of ink for my printer, etc. Love the flag rendition on the left. Love to know the history etc. of all the Native tribes:)
ReplyDeleteAlways good to have you stop by ~ Hurrah for the Patriots!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
ps. We have way too much snow and it is still snowing!!!
It's so fun to see your link growing! That's awesome! Hope you are having a great snow day today! I'm still jealous, but the sun is a good friend today!
ReplyDeleteEven though we don't get the Superbowl here, I could feel the energy around that from all the news and postings everywhere about it. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I linked up but forgot to comment...goodness. Glad you got a day of rest after staying up late for the game. Like the signs your kids made, too.
ReplyDeleteYea, I found a new place to party! Thanks for hosting - have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of all your snow. Send some west! Hope you enjoyed the big game. We weren't into it so much this year.
ReplyDeleteGronk Flakes! Love it! The kids did some great artwork!
