The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 31

The Good: 
When I made my annual batch of strawberry jelly this past week, I used the strained berry juice to make ice cubes, so delicious in seltzer.

 The Random:
So apparently baby pineapples are a thing. Or maybe they're just a Whole Foods thing...

The Fun: 
I was in Vermont this weekend for a little summer get-a-way. On the way, we stopped at a little local Vermont winery's tasting room. Fun to taste some local wines!

    Hi Tamar, well there is certainly a lot of "juice" of all kinds going on in this post. I was thinking as I looked at the pineapple that even though it is a symbol of hospitality and it tastes so good, it doesn't look like a very friendly fruit with all those spikey things on it. Just my observation.

    I have never seen the baby pineapple. I suppose it would work if you don't need the big kind...but it does seem like an awful lot of stuff you pay for but can't eat.

    I had no clue about the baby pineapple- I wonder if it tastes any different. Genius idea on the strawberries - I'll have to try that.

    Great idea on the strawberry ice cubes! I haven't seen those baby pineapples yet. So cute!! Wineries are always a fun stop for me on any trip.

    We toured a micro brewery in Bend - very cool. The guys did a lot of tasting...I bought a sweat shirt!!
