We started our reading groups this week. The kids are off to a great start and it makes my teacher heart so happy to hear the buzz of 9 groups reading diligently each time!
The Random:
We looked up at recess and saw the MetLife blimp overhead. To quote a kiddo "eh, the Red Sox aren't playing so they're just wandering around Brookline!"
The Fun:
To wrap up the weather unit, meteorologist Jeremy Reiner came to speak to the kids on Friday! He came when I worked KSA and was stoked to arrange a visit to Maimo.

I just love, love, love seeing children read.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the blimp myself, so great shot!
ReplyDeleteHi Tamar,
ReplyDeleteGreat seeing kids reading. Love the thought on why the air ship was there. Have a great day.
The blimp comment made me smile. The kids sure look enthralled with the meteorologist.
ReplyDeleteLove that blimp comment!! And, next year, I'm sure I could free myself up to be your assistant on weatherman day ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove that blimp comment! How exciting about the kids getting into reading. That was so cool that a weatherman came to visit!
ReplyDeleteA presentation of the meteorologist seems to be a great choice to have the kids' attention! Love your scavenger hunt - maybe one of these days I'll come to it!
ReplyDeleteI think the MetLife Blimp comes out for football, not baseball!
ReplyDeleteLove the perspective of when and why the blimp would be out and about. Fun times at school.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of that fall color in your blimp shot. So cool to have a weather guy come talk to your kids during their weather unit. I bet they loved it.
ReplyDeleteA blimp and a weather guy! You are living large!
