The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 19

The Good:
I ditched the traditional classroom with assigned seats a few weeks ago and am slowly transitioning to a "flexible seating" classroom. (blog post forthcoming!) Part of that involved offering many styles of seats: chairs, stools, pillows, etc. I had seen these milk crate seats on Pinterest and toyed with making them last summer, but knew now was the time. I am SO excited with how they turned out and can't wait for the kiddos to see them!

The Random:
No denying we had a pretty easy winter up here. Then spring started with snow and up and down temps. Now it's been cloudy and raining and cold for over a week. I don't like the heat, but I'm not down with my winter coat on May 5th!!

The Fun:
I haven't gotten a Stitch Fix in a year so it was time to spice up the spring wardrobe and get a fix! I kept 2 tops, could have kept another, but decided to send it back sine I wasn't in love with it. Yay for new clothes!

  4. My week was pretty much spent with, duh, work, but also a lot of drawing and finally a quick stop at the arboretum. I so agree that winter coats in May are just wrong. I really like your milk crate seats, they look awesome.

  7. I bet your new seats will be a big hit. Your classroom will light up with smiles and excitement.
My daughter uses StitchFix because she hates going shopping and really likes what she gets. I've thought of trying it but I am very picky and wonder if it would be worth a try.

  13. love the seating...boo for winter coat in may...and yay for Stitch fix! I tried it once and was sorely disappointed (but I've heard that's common the first one or two times), but I had also discovered dressing your truth and decided i'd just stick to shopping for myself and my type. But I love that it works for so many of my friends : )

  14. I love the idea of using padded crates as student seats! Easy to move around and comfortable.

Spring finally arrived on the Front Range of Colorado and we are enjoying seeing everything finally turn green.

  21. Love the idea of flexible seating and maybe even standing? I have one kid that loves to stand while doing work. Were still wearing winter coats in May here in Calif too. Looking forward to a warmer and sunnier week. Hope you get one too.
