The awesome RI Air Show was this past weekend!
Ariel and I drove down to RI bright and early and had a great day watching the exhibitions. Sadly, mother nature was in a cloudy mood, but the routines still rocked.
The first routine was a parachute team. It was so awesome to watch them just free falling before opening their shoots. Pretty impressive feat to steer their shoots to earth safely.
The rest of the morning did not disappoint. Insane aerial routines - when you realize that these planes are making themselves stall out thousands of feet in the air so they can free fall in various ways is insane!
The F-18 was the final show before the rain started, but not a half bad way to end it! I love hearing the boom and looking for the afterburners!
All in all, a great day down in RI!

ReplyDeleteI always find air shows such a thrill and such a sign that summer is here!! The shots you got are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteWe live just a few miles from Dobbins Air Force Base so we get quite a few exciting flyovers! ;) My dad also retired from Lockheed, where they've manufactured many navy jets, including those for the Blue Angels. It was always so cool.
