Revere Beach Sandcastles 2018

July breeze is calling me...

We'd build sandcastles...

{Sandcastles -- Paper Lions}

I couldn't have asked for better weather to head over to Revere for this year's sandcastle contest.
Blue skies, light breeze...perfect summer day.

Once again, these sculptures did not disappoint. It is just amazing what the artists can do with the sand! The big center attraction was a magical castle covered in storybook creatures. Little kids and adults alike oo-ed and ah-ed over them all!

I just loved walking up and down the beach, sculptures on one side and perfectly blue (well as blue as the northern Atlantic gets!) ocean on the other.

Days like this make me miss the NJ beaches of my childhood!

I am completely amazed by these sculptures. I can't believe how detailed they are. Do you get to see the artists working on them? HOr long do they last?

These are fantastic! Reminds me of ice sculptures in that so much goes into them yet they are temporary.
