Amaryllis

Every winter I love to get an amaryllis and watch it shoot up and blossom. This year's was a particularly pretty one!
I haven't gotten one that has grown so straight and with so many blossoms in a while, so it was a nice, cheery treat!

    I always wondered about the name of that flower. Now I know. I used to call it a lily. Is it in the lily family? Yours is quite lovely.
