We drove up to Beacon over the weekend to have brunch and walk around. Beacon is a little town along the Hudson River about an hour north of us. It's nestled in the mountains and known as a bit of an artist colony with a fun vibe.
We had a really great brunch at a cafe that is 100% gluten-free and then strolled the main street popping into the various shops.

The shops are a mix of funky vintage-type places, fun general store type places, a book shop, a witchcraft/crystal place, kid's boutique, and more! I shopped local at the book shop (can't not buy a book, ha!) and Judah treated himself to a fancy marshmallow hot chocolate at the marshmallow shop.
We also strolled over to the waterfalls and enjoyed taking in the pretty scenery! Judah got adventurous and climbed down onto the rocks to get a picture. I stayed firmly planted on higher ground! It was a perfect weekend day date!
...what a fun, funky destination!
