Orchid Show

The summer mom and I moved to NY (nearly 5 years ago!!) we joined the NY Botanical Gardens and it is by far the membership we have enjoyed the most! Every year they have a marvelous orchid show in the conservatory.  We went a few years back and we were able to go again this year when I was home for Pesach. 
 The sun was streaming in through the glass windows of the building and they variety and color of the orchids was just stunning! I think their beauty speaks for themselves, so I'll let the pictures do the talking!
 The theme this year was hanging orchids, these were some of the most interesting varieties and were dangling down in such amazing ways.
 This wasn't even an orchid, but it was by far my favorite one there!
It truly was an amazing show! The gardens outdid themselves this year, in my opinion! It was also fun to go to the show for the first time since I really got into photography. All of these, were straight out of the camera!

    These are absolutely lovely! I've been to the NY Botanical gardens only once many years ago, but I should definitely try to go again :)

    I love orchids! They are so elegant and simple. I have never seen hanging orchids though. That is stunning.

    Orchids are one of my favorite flowers!! This is the first year that I haven't been able to make it to the annual flower show here.
