Borderland: Ames Estate

On Sunday, EmFish and I decided to have another adventure. We drove down to Borderland State Park in Sharon to explore. It's a huge state park that used to be a private family estate. We just wandered around the manor house.
It was a perfect early fall afternoon and it was so amazing to see lingering signs of summer and early signs of a full New England fall.
The branches and trunks on the trees were amazing; all twisted and knotted. We were amazed at how tangled up they were!
A beautiful way to kick off fall and a new season of Sunday adventure days. I totally want to go back and explore more of the grounds!

  5. What a fun place to take photos! And open to the public. That's great. I'm fascinated by twisty, tangled tree branches, too. Trees grow crooked in such weird configurations, don't they?!
