Song-osity: Own little world

In my own little corner, in my own little chair...
and the world will open its arms to me...

I remember, way back, when the school year began, we talked about what reading is to us.
One child said "reading is like a free vacation for my mind." Another said "reading lets me pretend I am whatever I want to be."

I couldn't have said it better myself.

And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Wonderful post and picture. Reading takes you to places you can only dream of visiting.

I like the last quote the best, and writing does the same for me. I get lost in the words.

It's amazing when kids reach that point of literacy. Love their thoughts.

I so wish that more children think of reading that way. I feel so bad for those that think that reading is a chore.
