Boston Winter

A beautiful site...
We're happy tonight...
Walking in a winter wonderland...

{Winter Wonderland -- Tony Bennett}

Boston is pulling out all the stops this winter!

This year, down at the City Hall Plaza, there is an awesome winter park, of sorts. There is a fun ice rink, local vendors, live music, and a fun festive atmosphere.

It was fun to wander around the plaza, hearing skates scrape against the ice and a singer serenading the crowd; the smell of cocoa and cinnamon treats wafting through the air!

An added bonus was taking in the pretty lights and lit up Christmas tree on the Boston Common! The only thing that'd have made it even more perfect would have been a fresh layer of snow!

You have to love a city that knows how to embrace the frigid temps and still find ways for people to get out and have fun in their own backyard!

I confess I'm probably not hardy enought to survive a Boston winter! Too warm-blooded!

Ohhhhh how cool!!!! I'm not seeing many lights this year - I have vowed to not step outside until spring when things warm up :) Too bad for the 4 pair of new boots I bought for winter.
