The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 49

The Good:
I made some super tasty latkas - can't have Chanukah without oil-laden foods!

The Random:
The make way for ducklings ducks have pom pom hats!!

The Fun:
Ran my last race of 2018 yesterday! Yulefest is a huge race for my team and we took fastest team spot (and a top men and women!). So much fun in the freezing cold. I ran a 29:16, not my PR but faster than my Turkey Trot and solid the whole way through (negative splits for any runners!).

Oh, you have inspired me to make some potato latkes soon! I am not Jewish, but I was told by my dear friend’s mother (who is Jewish) that my latkes were better than her mother’s and grandmother’s! Now that is a compliment! And those ducklings in pom pom hats just had me and my sons in fits of laughter! Thanks for a good Monday morning chuckle!

Congrats on the good race. Running with a team is so appealing! It sounds like a lot of fun. And those latkas look absolutely delicious. Now I am hungry! :)

Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouak, Pack, and Quack look very compelling in their pom poms! (Love that story!)

Those hats!! I love them. We have a giant praying mantis in our town that always has a Santa hat on during December, but he doesn't have it this year, and I think he looks undone!!

You guys must have been freezing but what a great way to end your year of running races! Love those cute pom pom hats on the ducks. Yummmm...latkes. I didn't make mine this year so I'll have to live vicariously through yours!

It sure is hat weather although we're currently enjoying a heat wave in the low 30s. It's been ages since I've had a potato latka, mmmm.

Those ducks look so cute with their little hats and that race looks super cold but run. Great team effort!
