I saw that the Hudson was freezing over down in Manhattan, so I got curious and wanted to see how things were up here in Westchester. Well, it's almost frozen straight across. There seemed to be a very narrow lane of water between Tarrytown and Nyack. That is just under 3 miles of frozen river!
It really was stunning (albeit a bit blinding in the sun) to walk along the riverwalk. I saw some geese go sliding on the ice while landing, and you could see a variety of animal footprints on the snow. I really loved the way the water was frozen in chunks along the pier and barrier walls.

...it sure has done COLD!
