Went to the Marine Corps Evening Parade with my uncle and aunt, which was great - lots of pomp and circumstance!
Then I went down to the Mall with the main goal of seeing the new MLK Memorial which was built since I moved to Boston. It was a stunning tribute to MLK.
Now I need to come back again sooner than 5 years to see everything I didn't have time for!
And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

DC is on our travel bucket list! Ryan went there in high school on his senior trip, and I went as a kid with my family, but we have not been as adults. We wanna go! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should get an open ended ticket since you seem to be heading that way more often :).
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I haven't seen the memorial either - it looks nice.
ReplyDeleteSo cool- that would be so great to see.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize the MLK memorial was relatively new - we got to see it last year when we were there and it really was impressive!
ReplyDeleteI love going to DC and feel like I never have enough time when I'm there. So much to see and do. I didn't see the MLK memorial yet either!
