Amaryllis

Every winter, mom buys me an amaryllis. I love watching it grow and bloom - a bright spot in the long winter. This year it really took off and the most gorgeous red blooms emerged!
It's a giant! I'm even more impressed that it managed to grow super straight, usually I have to get creative with making it stakes to hold it up!

I have another one, we'll see if it decides to grow and bloom, but at least I got to enjoy this gorgeous one.

  1. It's such a pretty, elegant flower! I first took notice of it at my friend's wedding where she had as the centerpiece of each table a display of amaryllis.

  3. That's funny. My mum often buys me an Amaryllis as well. I like the white/pink colors as well as the red.

  4. Beautiful! My daughter buys me an amaryllis every year, but this year's was a dud. It did nothing.
