Better late than never...finally made my annual batch of strawberry jam! It tasted mighty good before I sealed the jars. All set for the year now.
The Random:
Back to starting runs in total darkness...think I am neon enough?
The Fun:
I ran to Castle Island on Saturday - a gorgeous nine mile run. 7 years in Boston and finally made it there - for sure will be back!

Fun fact: I have never made jam of any kind before. Does this make me a bad housewife? I feel like this is something I should know how to do? I do love it though. It's my favorite kind. My mom makes REALLY good strawberry jam.
ReplyDeleteAlso - boo for dark mornings and early evenings. We've been noticing it too. Not ready yet!!! GOOD JOB on being neon, though. I get so frustrated with people who run in the dark and wear all dark clothes!
...homemake is best.
ReplyDeleteI am now suddenly compelled to make some strawberry jam. YUUUUMMMM!!
ReplyDeleteCastle Island sounds intriguing and you can't be neon enough. I even neon up on my bike on trails on weekdays in the daylight. Your place must smell heavenly from that strawberry jam, I can smell it from here, mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for September raspberries to make jam. I hope it will be possible this year. It's been raining awfully.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting.
Delicious looking jam! I usually make freezer jam during the summer, but I've been procrastinating! You've inspired me to get it done! As I walked this morning I realized that it wouldn't be long before I'd be walking in the dark. I walk on a track in a park so neon is optional for me! Your's looks terrific! Your long run ended in a very beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteCastle Island looks interesting! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThat jam looks lovely and Castle Island would be a great place to visit. Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week.
