I only had one bought of training fatigue and an epic run the following day helped me over that hump quickly.
This go around, I focused on the goal and really didn't worry about pace or mileage. I just ran. I saw parts of the city I haven't seen before. Saw chickens, turkeys, flamingoes, and ducks. Ran hills. Ran for donuts. Ran with friends. Tried new group runs. Ran in Boston, White Plains, and Washington D.C. I ran in the dark, in the mist, in the rain, inside, in the muggy summer heat, and in the early crisp fall temps.
In 12 weeks I covered 262 miles. All for my goal of an epic 13.1 mile race.
The last 12 weeks have been a mix of good, random, and fun runs (plus the usual why do I do this). Chasing unicorns all the way!
