The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 51

The Good:
I got new glasses! I am loving the new frames...after 3 years in the old ones the change is welcomed.

The Random:
On Chanukah a tradition is to eat oily foods to celebrate the miracle of the oil - so latkes are super popular. 17 years ago (!?), my Bat Mitzvah was over Chanukah and we had Chinese food for shabbat - so this year I had to dish up latkes and a sheet pan stir-fry for shabbas.

The Fun:
The annual run for a donut (on Chanukah of course!). 8 miles. Windchill of 8. But so worth it and I was so toasty in my new Heartbreak Run Co jacket!

    Your new glasses are very nice. I just got a very similar pair for close-up work. Those latkes look good. We've polished off latkes and homemade doughnuts too. I hardly fry throughout the year though, so not too much guilt!

    Lovvvvvve the glasses! So cute! I would also like the donut. I haven't recovered from my loss of the Duck Donut chain when we came back home. Now I pretty much just want all donuts all the time!
