I have always loved her works. Her colors and lines are so strong but peaceful. She was so forward for her time and really marched (and painted) to her own drum. I learned a ton about her life!

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
Beautiful. I love her work as well. I didn't know the PEM was showing her. It's just a few minutes away from me...
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Tamar! And I just shared Georgia O'Keefe quotes in my Tuesday Link Up post! Viewing art is so peaceful and energizing...just as making art can be. Thanks for sharing the photos of this beautiful exhibit!

She was my mom's favorite artist. She traveled to NM about 15 years ago to see a place there with her works. Which reminds me that I need to find all the things she brought back from that trip. So glad you got to go see this.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved her flower paintings, but did not know about her other art. Thanks!
ReplyDelete...Georgia O'Keeffe, art doesn't get any better!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing exhibit!

How wonderful! I lived in New Mexico for many many years. Georgia is a favorite. Interesting woman. Thanks for hosting, too!
ReplyDeleteI too have been a lifelong admirer of Georgia's work. Very strong and peaceful, like you said.
