Some say it's the heart of the city.
They say, find the sign and know where you are.
Boston's "North Star" of sorts.
It doesn't matter where I am when I spot it...Cambridge...Brookline...Boston...
I smile and know I am home.
the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday and Little Things Thursday...right here!
I'll be watching for it on my next trip to Boston.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you view the world through your camera lens.
Oh wow, Tamar, I cannot believe how your words just moved me over a Citgo sign! I love it! I grew up in a very small town, Wilson, PA, and our North Star of sorts was the giant Dixie Cup on top of the old Dixie building that has not been in operation for my entire life! But the giant old cup perched up on the roof was a sign that you have arrived in the heart of Wilson, PA! Thanks for triggering that memory for me!

...a sign that I always saw when I was young.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching, watching, watching for the Citgo sign when I ran the Boston marathon. I knew that it meant that I was almost "home"! :)
ReplyDeleteLove landmarks like that.
ReplyDeleteGood to know! I'll be spending some time there!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Boston my driver (someone took us into the city to the museum) pointed it out to us. Later I asked him where Brookline was (because I remembered that's where you lived) and he said...."see that Citgo sign"....
ReplyDeleteIf I ever get back to Boston I'll look for it!
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice sign. But what does it mean? :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Am I correct that it is over the Green Monster. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can not place this sign but will definitely be looking on our next Boston trip.
ReplyDeleteNowadays landmark ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting.
Funny! I have never heard that, but then my family lives outside of Boston. Such a great city! Will be there next summer. My cousins' daughter will be a senior next year, so I am coming up to do some portraits for her and some engagement photos of another family member.
