{The Room Where it Happened -- Hamilton}
Since I first listened to Hamilton nearly 3 years ago I have patiently waited for my chance to see it in person. I knew I'd see it on tour because of my Broadway in Boston season tickets and just had to wait for it.
Well, Thursday was finally my night to be in the room where it happened and oh my goodness was it worth every second of waiting.
I don't think I blinked from the first cord until the cast left the stage after the curtain call. It was everything I had hoped and dreamed it was and more. The choreography and lighting brought Lin Manuel Miranda's lyrics to life and the cast of the Angelica tour was spectacular and blew us all away.
The songs I've always loved the most touched me so much. I sobbed through Wait for It and held my breath during Burn and as the cast sang Who Lives Who Dies....
I'm still on cloud 9 and listening to it non stop again after "drying out" for several weeks prior to seeing it.
Just. Magical.

...you were lucky to get tickets!
ReplyDeleteThis gave me chills and I teared up remembering our time seeing A Ham. I love how you worked in some key phrases into your post. I see what you did there. It truly is an amazing and breathtaking experience!!
ReplyDeleteOh, so jealous!!! We're still hoping that Hamilton will come here soon, so we'll get to see it. J actually wants us to fly to NYC just so that he can see it!
ReplyDeleteWasn't it just phenomenal? I remember thinking "what just happened?" when it was over and wanting to see it again. And I cried through the first 10 minutes because of all the anticipation leading up to it.
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of this Tamar, it sounds like it was worth the wait :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you loved it. It's coming here next year and I think it's already sold out.
ReplyDeleteEnvious! We have Broadway series in both smaller cities where we live, but
ReplyDelete'smaller' being the operative word we're a few seasons back with what comes here. Maybe someday....
Very cool that you got to see it. Happy for you.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you, but so jealous at the same time! :) I wanna go!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you! My daughter lives in NYC and saw it - albeit with a blocked view - and of course, said it was phenomenal. In fact, any one I know who has seen it just raves about it. Sigh. Maybe someday I'll see it,too.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! Still haven't seen it! One of these days I hope!
ReplyDeleteGlad it was everything you hoped. Joining you from WATW.
ReplyDeleteThere's noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in options also. free online casino slots
