I ran the Chicago Marathon yesterday and shaved just about SEVEN minutes off my time for a sub-five hour race! Loads more to come this week!
The Random:
I'm out of school today (recovery and travel day!) and left this for my sub. I'm dying to see what the kids write...
The Fun:
My cousins live in Chicago and we had my pre-race dinner together Saturday night!

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! What an amazing accomplishment! It was so fun to watch the tracker and see your progress! :) Can't wait to hear and see more. And oh my word - what a fun assignment. Can't wait to see what they come up with! :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids and I LOVED Miss Nelson Is Missing!
ReplyDeleteAnd since I homeschooled them, I used to wonder out loud what would happen if Miss Viola Swamp showed up here in OUR classroom!
...congrats.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the SEVEN MINUTE PR!!!! That is amazing! Chicago was one of my very favorite marathons, despite it being rainy and 39 degrees at the start. I traveled to Chicago with a friend for a girls' long weekend, and we had a blast! Enjoy your recovery day. I am sure your kids will do great with a substitute! I always used to worry about that, but they always survived! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the marathon, I'm envious! The assignment for your kids looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, congratulations on that time. You deserve the day off for sure! Sallie (from Eugene, Oregon aka Tracktown USA)
