Another amazing book. The Paris Architect is about an architect in Paris during the German occupation who begins to realize how far he will go to save others after a big change of heart. While it was fiction, I learned a ton about what life was like in Paris during the occupation. Highly recommend.
The Random:
A quick stop at Fishes Eddy in the city over the weekend. Love the dueling shot glass set.

...I was looking my 4th grade granddaughter's math work and I was clueless.
ReplyDeleteLove that math idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd books set in WWII era are so fascinating.
I love the array cities you always make also. I think my mom read that book and said she liked it.
ReplyDeleteI just read "The Lost Girls of Paris", also set during and immediately after WWII. I would recommend that one too.
ReplyDeleteThe dueling shot set is so cool. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThat array city is such a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteVery clever on the dueling shots! Ha! And maybe you have your own 'architect' on your hands....
ReplyDeleteI love Fishes Eddie!! That book sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting. Greetings from Poland.
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds interesting. It is worth remembering that during the world wars, things seemed even darker than today, mostly. I felt that my mother was rather traumatized by how frightening things were even here in the states. Both her father and her young husband were both away at war. She barely talked about it later but there was just something about how she felt when she did.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of mixing art with math and that does sound like a good book. I'll have to look it up.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Paris Architect. Such ingenuity was shown in hiding persecuted people. It was a harrowing story!
