Marathon weekend is truly like the holiday season. The spirit is in the air. The little touches around town show how seriously we locals take this weekend. I can't help but smile walking around town!
Many of the festive touches stay around long after the finish line is taken down. The mile markers are down all year, freshened up before race day. Unicorn banners remain long into summer. For Boston this is more than a weekend, this is a way of life! Only 367 days until next year's running!

ReplyDeleteWasn't the marathon exciting this year? Especially the men's race. I loved watching it with some friends who had a running/ Boston party that morning!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the scenes around Boston! We don't often get to see that part of the celebration but I'm sure it does add such an aura of fun around town.
