Every moment of the year...
I love Paris
Why, oh, why do I love Paris?
Why, oh, why do I love Paris?
{I Love Paris -- Ella Fitzgerald}
The MFA has been knocking it out of the park lately with featured exhibitions. The latest is works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec who famously captured the celebrity culture of Paris in the 19th century.
We had the Ambassadeurs and Divan Japanois prints hanging in the house when I was a kid so it was so neat to see how many other works Lautrec was the mastermind behind.
He really was the original "paparazzi" in a way - highlighting many celebrities of the time in his prints and other media. Pretty neat to see how he immortalized the Parisian nightlife and culture.
