Water Lantern Festival

And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new...

And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted...

{I See the Light -- Tangled}

A few weekends ago, there was a beautiful festival down on the Esplanade.
Nearly 10,000 paper lanterns, decorated with drawings and messages were launched into the canal near the Hatch Shell.

As the sun fully set and the sky went dark, the lanterns lit up against the water.
So peaceful. So beautiful. So magical.

  2. I was thinking of going to that but was just too busy with other things this weekend. Maybe next year I’ll get there. It’s sounds and looks as wonderful as I thought it would be.
