I took advantage of Pesach vacation to finally get into the Harry Potter Store in NYC. It's usually packed with a several hour wait on a virtual line, but random April Wednesday and I was in within 15 minutes. The store is really cool lots of knick-knacks and HP memorabilia (including some actual props) and a lot of merchandise for sale.
The details in the space were really well done! The stone gargoyle spinning above the spiral stairs, the elevator opening to reveal a flu network-esque space, the luggage with logos, and more. It was so cool to see the Ravenclaw diadem, some Death Eater masks, and Gaunt's ring. The wand section had every type of wand the characters used too. Super cool spot and glad I can say I finally saw it.
...a walk back in time.
ReplyDeleteI bet Zachary would like to visit this store!
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun, Tamar! I am not a huge Harry Potter fan, but I like it enough that I would certainly enjoy this place! Thanks for sharing.
