The High Line Hotel sits on 10th Avenue, in Chelsea. It's become a very trendy, boutique hotel and a great place to snap a few pictures for "the 'gram." The building was once the General Theological Seminary and was where "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" was penned! I finally happened to be in the neighborhood and checked out the gardens and lobby.
The gated courtyard has been transformed into a very trendy bar, complete with "Daisy the Double-Decker" - an actual, formerly in-use bus! Inside the lobby are such neat vintage knickknacks and art pieces, but it feels so hip, not outdated. There is another back patio off the lobby which is home to a coffee bar, too. I hear the rooms are very very swanky and each 100% different from the next. Rooms aren't cheap, but it could be so fun to do a staycation there!
A beautiful collection of fine photographs
