MoMA has an awesome AI art piece right now in the big atrium. The piece is called "Unsupervised" and artist Refik Anadol used artificial intelligence to interpret and transform more than 200 years (and at least 500,000 pieces) of art at MoMA. The AI is continuously generating new and otherworldly designs that felt 3D! Anadol trained the AI model to interpret the publicly available data of MoMA’s collection. The AI reinterprets the works of art in really amazing ways and is also influenced by the changes in light, movement, sound, and the weather.
It truly felt 3D. There was a variety of "runs" of the program while I took it all in. My favorite, these shots felt like paint was being thrown on us. It was so cool to watch the colors move and morph into new shapes and patterns. I am a little unsure of this new AI trend, but have to say this was cool!
...not my thing.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteWow this sounds incredible to watch. At first I read the title as "Al"like a person's name, art! lol!
ReplyDeleteIt's intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI too am a little against the AI in art but that is amazing. How spectacular. Could you recognise the pieces it was 'thinking' about for the collection?
ReplyDeletewow this is amazing. Actually my words don';t do justice to it. I would have sat here for hours just looking. I have never seen anything like it. Thankyou so much for sharing! I love the art you bring to us. Stay safe, enjoy your week, and thankyou again for the linkup.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice. Yes, I like it.
