In the shadow of St. John the Divine in Morningside Heights sits a lovely little pocket park called "The Garden of Animals." In the center of the park is a massive sculpture called the Peace Fountain - depicting the sun, moon, and a variety of animals. It's meant to represent the battle of good and evil -- fitting for it's location next to the church!
All around the Peace Fountain and nestled in the surrounding shrubbery are little animals made by school children. Each little statue was so beautifully made, so detailed, and uniquely added to the garden as a whole.
These sculptures are gorgeous
