Winter Scenes

This has been a true New England winter.
We've had our (normal) fair share of cold, snow, and wind.
So easily the fresh beauty of the snowfall fades quickly away as the pristine white snow gets mucked up by road grime.
It's so easy to forget the beauty of this cold, white season.
However, nothing complements the winter blue sky quite like the frozen white reservoir.
I find myself savoring this beautiful season, for before too long the white will fade away and green will emerge.

  1. So pristine, so beautiful.

The kids asked why can't there be snow everywhere. :)

  3. Yes, bare limbs, blue sky and a white ground do make for some beautiful photos! And even though I love when the trees get green again, I miss their nakedness too! ;)

  7. I savour this season too. :) When bloggers from warmer climates repeatedly say "It looks so cold" I can't help thinking that they have no idea what they are missing. Just sayin'.

  13. I really like that first shot with the curvature of the lake. My daughter has expressed (bordering on whining) about how cold it is up North as she makes the trek back to her dorm.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I've tagged you in a game of Blog Tag. bendedroadphotos@blogspot.com
