More fun with the goodies Udi's sent me. In addition to the brownie bites and snickerdoodles, they also sent me...
A loaf of the millet-chia bread. I had been intrigued by this one and had wanted to try it. It is really great! Has a nice consistency and doesn't taste any different than a normal loaf. Yet, there is yummy whole grain goodness happening in each slice. It held up great as a pb&b - I make my lunch the night before so almost 18 hours later it was delicious! They also sent along a pack of their tortillas. My first observation, these guys are thick (not usually associated with a gf tortilla). I used one when I made fish tacos one night. The tortillas taste great, I just needed to toast up the wrap more because it did split in half, but taste - whoa baby!
Now these, oh was I stoked! Their vanilla muffins. These were such a fantastic breakfast after a long workout this past weekend. Such a nice flavor and not too dense. Best, they didn't crumble to pieces like some other muffins I have tried. A little strawberry jam and it was a perfect start to my day!
Thanks so much Udi's! I have one more post with a recipe from the other product they sent me, so come back to see it!
**Udi's generously sent me these products to review. All tasty opinions are my own.
