P52: 25 weeks around the sun

Happy summer to you all and happy summer vacation to me!

This week flew by, one second it was Monday and we were celebrating the KSA graduating class and the next thing I knew it was Friday and teachers were done for the year. In between were lots of hugs to my now (sniff, sniff) 4th graders, celebrating, and hard work getting ready for next year.

I got such sweet gifts from my class! One kid gave me an inflated Space Shuttle an ode to his love of the space unit! I received flowers and pencils/pens, and lots of coffee cards! The best was the cards that the kids gave me, honestly I will treasure them forever!

Hard to believe it's summer now, literally and professionally, but I am ready for some r&r and fun in the sun!

Highlight of the week: hitting the road to come home to NY for a few days, pulling onto the highway after leaving the school it felt amazing, I felt summer had arrived!

Favorite teaching moment: All the hugs and good-byes, it's hard to say good-bye, but what a year!

Random-osity: There was a double rainbow on Monday after a wicked storm. I missed it since it was during graduation. The universe was laughing at me, the photo junky, missing that photo op!
Also! I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!

  9. Welcome to summer! I saw a double rainbow the other day too. I got a picture but just on my phone. Your class sounds so sweet with the gifts and I'm sure you deserve everyone of them.
