Scav Hunt Sunday: Boats and Berries

Dots:
In Judaism, we don't leave flowers at graves, but place stones. Stones are more permanent and show that someone was there. It's actually quite meaningful to do this. These are on my grandparents' headstone, we went for the unveiling last Sunday.

Motion:
2 in 1. Took this in a moving car and the boat is motoring along in Great Egg Harbor Bay.

Stripes:
My mom has these fun and colorful notecards which I used to write thank you cards to my students for the sweet gifts I received. Loved the rainbow stripes they made!

Sweet:
The farmer's market smelled amazing this week with all the berries around!

Tools:
I chose new glasses (first time in 3 years) this week. I am very (very) near sighted (-10 in one eye) so glasses are my number one tool!

    I am not Jewish but live in a community with many Jewish people so I leave stones on graves as well..sometimes I do my own little interpretation and leave pinecones or acorns or seashells.

    Wonderful set! Love your POV on the grave markers. I had not heard of the custom of leaving stones. I can see where that would be very meaningful. I think I can smell the strawberries, the look delicious! I really like the stripes, I would have never guessed they were notecards!!

    The strawberries looks scrumptious... and I don't even like strawberries. But I could eat one of those!

    you really know how to grab our attention! the striped stationery is certainly colorful.
    when JPE & I traveled to Prague, we observed the custom of leaving rocks on headstones. what a love-ly tradition... and certainly longer lasting than placing flowers at the site.

    I love your rainbow stripes! I actually have construction paper in every color, but didn't think to take a picture of them!

    I have good eye sight but have finally had to dive into the grocery store readers. You have another 20+ years for those, but I understand that as tools. I have about 6 pair-everywhere I can't see.
    Those strawberries are fabulous, but my fave this week is the placing stones. I think that is a wonderful gesture/tradition...lovely. HOpe time away from school is treating you well.
