I'm so excited to be joining Gina and other wonderful bloggers for June's Recipe Round-Up! This month we're all about ice cream sodas, since today is fittingly, National Ice Cream Soda Day.
I try to be as all natural as possible and am allergic to dairy and soy. Yes, there is rice ice cream and coconut ice cream, but I thought I'd think way outside the box here! I decided to make a banana base "ice cream" and used one of my favorite all natural sodas.
Simply put: bananas, half a peach, a freezer, a food processor, a cup, and a can of Zevia. That's it.Five minutes and your food processor can produce banana ice cream. Really, 5 minutes.
Love this soda. All natural, no calories, and no "junk" - I get mine at Whole Foods.
This is easy and delicious. Vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, healthy, indulgent, and refreshing! This was really amazing. It tasted like an amazing peaches and cream soda. I didn't feel guilty eating it, and am so glad I tried to think outside the box here!
Have you ever tried making banana "ice cream"? Ever try Zevia? Willing to trust me and try this "ice cream" soda?

ReplyDeleteYummy and you are amazingly creative! Love this idea for a healthy version.
ReplyDeleteI love it Tamar!!!! I love making banana ice cream but we now need a food processor so the process of chopping & blending frozen bananas by hand is really a workout :) I will certainly be trying it with a soda though- YUM!

A few days ago I made banana ice cream just like this except I added cacao nibs and chocolate mint leaves to it. Was so good! I'll have to try it next time as an ice cream soda.
