Scav Hunt Sunday: Fossils and Fans

Memories:
Fossils at the Harvard Museum, the earth's memories of days past.

Written words:
Libraries, full of written words.

Best friend:
This summer, the fan is my bff. Best Costco purchase ever.

Relaxing:
On book number 6 for the summer! It's been so relaxing to read so much.

Inspirational person:
Very very close friends' son is about to have his 4th major surgery related to his birth defect. Gabriel is one of the strongest people I know. The novel "Wonder" is about a boy who has a defect most likely like Gabriel's. Jackie (his mom) highly recommends this book. And if you could, please keep Gabriel in your prayers this week as he starts the journey towards healing from this operation!!

  2. Love those fossils. I may have to check them out the next time I'm in town. Like the fan...this humidity and heat have been pretty rough this year. Here's hoping the rest of the summer will be a little bit dryer and cooler. I will keep your friend in my my thoughts.

  3. I laughed at your best friend...It's been a hot one! What are you reading now? Wonder is a fantastic book. It should be required reading for Middle School children. Prayers for Gabriel.

  7. How wonderful your choice for inspiring person. Sending warm healing thoughts.
6 books?! Holy crap, that's rock star. I've finished 2, since mabye April, but I started # 3 and vow to designate more time for it. Mostly because I borrowed it and don't want to take too long.
LOVE the fan. How true. I'm in love with my little A/C that could this summer.
    Have a great sunny day.

  10. You're very brave to beat this heat with just a fan...we've got the room air conditioners going - and can't imagine getting on without them. Talked to the hubs about dragging him through the Harvard museums - we'll see how long it takes me to convince him!!

  14. oh... I need to add that book to my list. Loved all your choices for this week's prompts. As most have mentioned before me - the funniest one is the Costco purchase (best friend). Until you mentioned the fan I had forgotten how warm/hot/humid it gets in Boston. My step-daughter & granddaughter lived in Cranston (near Providence), RI... I remember being so uncomfortable visiting each summer. Humidity just knocks me off my feet.
    See you tomorrow.

  15. Very nice set.
I love a good book to relax with myself. Hoping the ones I checked out this week will do just that.
I see we both had the same idea for Written Word with our Library shots.
Got a chuckle out of your take on Best Friend.
Fossils are earth's memories. I did laugh though because when Coleen and I took in a small dinosaur exhibit last year we photographed, Dino Poo!
