It's becoming a tradition, I visit and we go to the zoo! It's such a special thing to do with Noam and I love seeing the zoo in a different way each time we go as Noam is growing and seeing new things.
He knows this zoo, and he leads the way! I brought his Bob, but he walked 99.9% of the time!!He's so observant. He'd come to an animal. And stop (not often seen in toddlers) and take it in. Sometimes he would call out to an animal he couldn't see "monkeys!!! where are you monkeys!!!"
My view this trip was his back. Seeing what he saw. When I wasn't running after him (little legs can move quickly!) I was getting down at his level. What was it like to see the zoo from his height.
The Oregon Zoo runs camp programs. Seeing Noam accidentally mix in with a bunch of little campers was so sweet. He'd stand there, not too much shorter than the youngest kids, staring up at them with such awe. Maybe that will be him in a few summers!
Another fun trip to the Oregon Zoo that I will cherish. On the way out, I treated Noam to a new stuffed toy and told him he could pick one for Ronan. He picked a lion for himself and a zebra for Ronan. Seeing him run into the house with the bag screaming "here baby Ronan!!!" was so sweet and icing on a fantastic morning!
So sweet! It's fun to see a zoo through the eyes of little ones. They are so curious and excited. Love that you have these memories.
ReplyDeleteOur Little Men almost have matching hats...how cute is that. I also took him to the zoo also. Isn't funny how our paths sometimes take the same road?
ReplyDeleteSo happy you got to spend such a fun time with Noam. He is so sweet!! Sounds like a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you two had a fabulous day. I love that turtle shot where the image shows the depth of the water. What a great idea to take in the zoo at his level. Keep having fun!
ReplyDeleteIs that the Zoo in Portland? I have been there (years ago). I loved there giraffe area because it is high and low. On the high side you can see their heads at eye level. I have never forgotten that. Think of all the memories he has in his head already.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I love his hat!
Thanks for your fun comment, too. You wear sweats all day? That is the best (knowing you don't have to dress up). LOL
I love the sleeping polar bear! and I love the zoo. you are an awesome aunt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip for you both!!
ReplyDeleteHe's just so stinkin' cute. I love that age where everything is exciting.
ReplyDeleteI always loved Zoos with my kiddos - there is no fear or worry in them. Just a genuine curiosity and love for creatures of all kinds!
ReplyDeleteThese Noam-and-Auntie moments are going to be memories to be cherished.
ReplyDeleteI could tell Noam is going to be a great big brother to Ronan. :)
OH! What a cutie! I just love the ending to this post. :) We can learn so much from children. Great photos too Tamar!
