The big NCTM math conference was in Boston this year, which meant we got to go. Shifra and I attended two days and it was fun going to sessions, hitting up the expo (free stuff!), and hearing all about the latest "trends" in math education.
The Random:
I have a marker fairy in my class. At least once a day, I find my white board markers in some formation...
The Fun:
We're spending the next few weeks on the various times tables for multiplication. I have a ton of fun centers planned to learn the facts in fun ways versus just drilling them. We even practiced our multiples by playing hopscotch!
