I read about this lovely New Englang gem online a fews back. In scenic Sudbury, the Wayside Grist Mill was built under the direction of former property owner Henry Ford in the 1920s.
The mill first ground its first "grist" on Thanksgiving day, 1929. The mill is water-powered and is still in operation, producing the corn meal and wheat flour that is used right down the road in Longfellow's Wayside Inn's baked goods.
I could not get over how picture perfect this place is. So peaceful, so gorgeous. There is something about the old stone buildings that makes me fall in love with this region more and more!
