There is a new art piece on the Plinth at the High Line. “Dinosaur” a giant sculpture of a pigeon by Iván Argote is the perfect piece of art for NYC! This 21 foot pigeon stands perched above 9th Avenue and is shockingly realistic; the feathers have texture and the talons look so real!
This may be the most New York City art piece I have ever seen. It is almost as if it has swooped in to rule the city's pigeons! The giant bird will stand watch over the High Line for the next year and I am hoping it gets into the festive spirit and gets decked out, too!
