The flagship Louis Vuitton store is currently undergoing a massive renovation and they moved the 5th Avenue icon across the street temporarily. The store is equal parts store, gallery, and "whoa baby." I waited until the holiday rush was over so I could pop in without the throngs of tourists and holiday shoppers and it did not dissapoint.
The space is amazing! It is 5 stories filled with shoes, clothes, bags, and more. It is a little insane to me that people spend $2,000 on a pair of shoes or a skirt, but c'est la vie! They even had a pool table and roulette wheel...for sale! The top floor is a cafe and chocolate shop, which may have been the most affordable spot in the store!
That's amazing! I love what you said about visiting- that it's part store, gallery, and "whoa baby". I laughed out loud. I'm visiting my son near Dallas in a couple of weeks; there's a LV store there as well that I'd love to pop into. It's a much smaller scale, of course, but it's on my list of things to do with him.
ReplyDeletewow - certainly looks like a "whoa" baby kinda store. The displays are art work in themselves. What a fun place to brose! We went to Harrods in London years ago - it certainly felt like another world. Have a fabulous week and thankyou again for the linkup.
ReplyDeleteThat definitely looks incredible and totally different from most "stores!" I love checking out insane price tags and wondering how/why people even bother shelling out so much for so little. But I guess whatever floats your boat, right?
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous space! I want to go to the cafe!
ReplyDeleteThat is so very beautiful. Love it.
