This is my day...
Won't let it slip away...
I love the weekends. They are really my days. No set schedule. No coffee being guzzled in the car. No darting out of bed and out the door before it's even close to daylight out. Nope. Weekends are my days. I get to wake up after the sun. Enjoy coffee in a leisurely fashion. Bask in the wonderful sunlight my apartment gets and enjoy fresh baked muffins for breakfast.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Monday to Friday routine, but the hustle and (early) bustle of it makes me enjoy the weekends that much more.

I'm with you on this 100%!! You've captured the feeling perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThe weekends are what makes the weeks bearable. Everyone needs time "off the clock"! Loving that sunshine in your apartment.
ReplyDeleteEven as a stay-at-home-mom (previously a 2 hour commute mom) - I can appreciate every word of this. Enjoy YOUR day and weekend.
ReplyDeleteThese days are so wonderful, and it is all about balance. One without the other would not have as much value, at least for me! Love your shots and enjoy.... YOUR DAY
ReplyDeleteWeekends are the best! That coffee pot looks interesting!! Yummy on those fresh baked muffins and I love the sun that your place gets!
ReplyDeleteLove my weekends too - for the exact same reasons!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this time! You are in a unique season where the weekend holds possibility if you want it, and rest if you want it! The leisurely morning with coffee and muffins sounds heavenly.
ReplyDeleteenjoy your weekend...looks like a yummy one!
ReplyDeleteThe weekends are a working woman's favorite days...you need that time to re-charge!!
ReplyDeleteYou need the hustle of the weekdays to appreciate the leisure of the weekends. Your apartment gets one gorgeous light! Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.
ReplyDeleteJust LOVE that coffee pot shot. So clever, and you know I'm all about sunshine light.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy for you, but sad for me. I really miss the feel of the weekend-and the week. The schedule. While real estate has the benefit of flexibility, you never know when you're going to have to work-often it's every weekend and often, it doesn't mean money in your pocket.
Enjoy these days-they are well earned. I know how hard you work during the week. Have a little muffin for me too, would ya?
Sounds very relaxing and those muffins look delicious.
ReplyDeleteLovely and will think of you next weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like how you set up your post - This is my day...
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to figure out how to get more of that weekend vibe going throughout the week! Nice interpretation for songography :)
Nice !
ReplyDeleteWeekends are priceless.
