Nothing beats a nice warm bowl of soup on a cold night. And nothing can beat a bowl of chowder (pronounced: chowd-ah in these here parts) on a snowy New England night.
Last week, as we stared down the barrel of another (yes, another) snowy day, I knew I had to make the tilapia chowder Avi introduced to me.
This comes together so easily and is not heavy by any means - delicious and guilt free is my idea of a good meal, yes? Yes.
I find that the longer it cooks - the better it is. Leftovers, are amazing - but good luck making it last that long!
Bon Appetite!
But for the corn - I'm sold. I completely agree - nothing is better on a cold evening.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good -- and hardy. xo
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!!! Been wanting to make corn chowder. YUM
ReplyDeleteYumm! I love corn and potato chowder!! The addition of the tilapia is interesting! I make a clam chowdah but it's not "light" at all..just for special occasions and parties. This is perfect! We got some more snow over the weekend but luckily not as much as you guys did.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good, I make a corn chowder almost just like this, but will for sure have to try it with the Talapia!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy! You are quite the cook! I hope you're keeping safe and warm during this latest snow.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious. One of winter's best perks is a steaming bowl of homemade soup.
ReplyDeleteI love chowders, though I've never thought to add tilapia to corn chowder. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Will have to give this a try sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kathy, and I am a chowdah-holic. MUST try this one! Never thought of Tilapia in a chowder before...wicked awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love tilapia in any form. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteLooks so comforting for these chilly days! I've only had a clam chowda.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love this. Tilapia is our favorite fish!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so tasty! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
ReplyDeleteExcellent recipe for me! Thank you my sweet! I'm serious. I can eat all of this without any woes or blows. hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteOh that looks so yummy!! I haven't had chowder in way too long...
ReplyDeleteI love chowders, or any type of soup really, but my husband isn't a big fan. So I tend not to make them, but almost always order them at a restaurant.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious!!! Thanks for sharing this recipe!!! Looks like the perfect thing to make for this weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds delicious! Any substitute for leeks?
