{Free Fallin' -- John Mayer}
Winter is here! That means snowboarding season is here!
100% without a doubt, the slopes are my insanely happy place. There is just something so freeing about heading downhill, the wind in my face, the sound of snow beneath my board.
I've hit the slopes twice so far this year. I love how it's like riding a bike...I strap in and the muscle memory kicks in. My first run and I was connecting turns, staying low, and flying downhill.
I realized this weekend that MLK weekend marked 15 years since I first hit the slopes. I spent the day on the trails reminiscing of how far I've come as a boarder. That first day in 2002 I spent way more time eating the snow than riding over the snow. It took many years of practice to become the boarder I am today and I still love it today as much as I did then!
Here's to a season full of boarding!
