The Good:

Noam is an 8th-grade graduate! I flew out to Oregon with my mom for the event and it was fun to celebrate him.

The Random:

Doesn't everyone want shorts with life jackets on them...?

The Fun:

Not fun - storm related delays. But the rainbow you get while waiting to finally take off are pretty fun! This one was a full arc that we could see from our side of the plane!

The Good:

Noam came in for a solo trip to see my mom and us! Fresh off the plane we took him to Zoo Lights and he enjoyed the hugest marshmallow and make your own s'more!

The Random:

We spent a day in the city and had a good chuckle at all the NYE confetti flying around and stuck to the sidewalks, even 48 hours later! 

The Fun:

We packed a lot of fun in over a few days! We went bowling on New Year's Day, went to the American History Museum, and walked around NYC a bit! He went to the Lego Store and minigolfin with my mom and did virtual reality gaming with Judah!

The Good:

We're back home after a great week in Oregon! The boys loved the time with Judah and the puppies weren't mad about it either! It was Judah's birthday on Tuesday and it was fun to celebrate with Avi and fam!

The Random:

The Fun:

We took the boys to Top Golf one afternoon. It was my first time at a driving range in ages and turns out I am really good at it!

The Good:

Avi threw me a little pre-wedding girls night! We had foot massages and soaks, got food from a food truck, and played some fun mini-golf before going home for cake with the guys.

The Random:

Anyone want to venture a guess as to why there are fuzzy planters all over Midtown...?

The Fun:

We went to a Portland Thorns game! I have been to soccer matches before but never for a women's team. They crushed the other team 5-0!

The Good:

Ronan turned 10 while we were away! We had a great day with the bday boy and it ended with this fantastic cake from the local market.

The Random:

I got a kick out of this display at one of the boardwalk fry places!

The Fun:

My childhood best friend, Chad is a well-known magician and he performs during the summer in Ocean City. We got to one of his shows and Noam got to be a participant!

PDX Time

It's so good to be back in Portland. The weather has been divine, chilly mornings and banner summer afternoons. It's been a chill mix of family time and relaxing adventures and tasty PNW coffee. 

It was Ronan's birthday on Tuesday. 8!? Unclear how that happened. He spent the day playing hooky from camp with mom and me. We had a sushi lunch date, played with his remote controlled car in a local park, lots of time playing with his new legos, and a small bday with home made cake. 

A perfect start to an overdue family vacation!

Berry Picking

One berry, two berry, pick me a Blueberry...

Buried in Berries, what a Jam Jamboree...

There is seriously nothing more delicious than an Oregon berry. 
There is nothing more delicious than that then one you picked yourself. 
We set out to Sauvie Island on Sunday for some berry picking. 
Blue skies. Puffy clouds. Ripe berries. Eager pickers. 
We picked two types of raspberries, blueberries, marionberries, and blackcaps. 
Fully bellies. Red fingers. 
Berries abound!
