The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 39

The Good:

I tried a new apple cake recipe for Rosh Hashana and it was so good! It was also a reason to use the Bundt pan we got for our wedding!

The Random:

Doesn't everyone order a massive hoagie for Rosh Hashana....?

The Fun:

I love that Romantacy/high fantasy is having it's moment! My local Barnes and Noble even has a shrine...I mean table...for all the Sarah J. Maas books! I am deep into book #5 right now, so so good!

New York Renaissance Faire

We checked out the New York Renaissance Faire over the weekend! We met up with friends of ours and took in all the olde timey fun in Tuxedo NY.

The Faire is huge with tons of shoppes and performance stages, and other various Renn Faire icons. We enjoyed watching all the people in costumes and looking at the various wares for sale, too.

We took in a lot of amazing shows! Our favorites were the Falconry show with an amazing collection of birds showing off their skills, glass blowing, and the jousting performance. Our favorite was the fire whips! The performer had all sorts of fun (and flamable) routines but ended with whips set ablaze, which he spun and twirled everywhere.

It was a great Sunday for sure!
