Oceanside. Oceanside. oh.
{Oceanside -- The Decemberists}
There is something about the beach. The smell of the salt air. The sand between my toes. The seagulls cawing. The waves breaking on the shore.
Within seconds of arriving at Revere Beach for the sand sculpture festival I sighed and just felt at home. Walking along the water's edge, the water breaking on the ankles, the sand massaging my feet.
There is just something about the beach. I need to get better about going to local beaches. It may not be as convenient as in our South Jersey days, but it's here and a beautiful place.
