The Museum of Arts and Design has a Taylor Swift exhibit right now. It is a collection of her most famous outfits from concerts and red carpets and information about her songwriting process and how she sees it as a form of storytelling. The exhibit shared how Swift has discussed the pressures that female musicians feel to constantly alter their public images, and how she regularly addresses gender norms in her videos, performances, and public appearances.
Being able to see the couture up close was amazing! She has some insane pieces in her closet of looks. She feels that the looks are secondary to her words but serve as another way to express her feelings when on stage and appearing in public.
Cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThe costumes are lovely
ReplyDeleteWhat a great exhibit that must have been. I am not a "swiftie" but I do appreciate her music and certainly her mark on the world.
